WHAT IS COLIVING

Coliving can mean different things but at heart this is about a shared living space that improves the quality of life for its residents. The rooms are arranged in a communal nature pooling resources and living in close proximity. This unlocks a variety of benefits for its residents, including comfort, affordability and a greater sense of social belonging.

A community will form naturally within the setting and it becomes the starting point of your stories. Every successful person knows that his or her achievement relies on people working together. A single person is stronger when he or she is with a group of people sharing ideas and passions.

ABOUT OUR COMMUNITY

We place a great amount of attention on our members and supporting the community. Our values were co-developed together and represent the ‘Vauban way of life’. They help us to determine right and wrong within our community and help to make sure that everybody is having a good time.

A key part of our values are respect for others and being communicative. Ultimately our community is also there to help support members to live their best lives.

WHO ARE OUR TENANTS

Our typical tenants are international professionals (22-42) who are respectful, social and clean. We focus on quality flatshares and spend time looking for the right people to live together and feel at home. A minimum rental contract of 5 months allows us to build a dynamic and friendly community but most of our tenants stay much longer, on average about 18 months+.

We get to know each and every one of our members and do make sure that as much as possible their interests, age group and to some extend also professional background overlaps. We only have international academics

OUR VALUES

Respect

We are collectively responsible for building our community.

  • This also has to do with sharing the household chores and keeping your home in a tidy and clean state.
  • All professional cleaning does not help if not everyone is doing their part and cleans up after cooking. This is also a matter of respect towards others.
  • Finally respect is also about understanding other people’s needs and expectations.
  • A happy flat is a clean flat

Be the best neighbour you can be.

Be a contributor

Communities feed on the input of their members, the small gestures that make a real difference, the chat over a cup of tea after a long day at work or the commonly shared meal in the evening.

  • Watch out for your flatmates
  • Spend quality time with them
  • Small gestures are appreciated by others, try it out and see how you can put a smile on another person’s face.

Open the doors

Be available, be friendly and be open towards others. It is a great way to build trust with one another and spend quality time with your housemates.

  • Welcome new members – remember we were all once there.
  • Help each other without expecting anything in return.
  • Embrace different backgrounds, interests and ideas.

We are proud of each and every one of our members.
